NORTH BANBURY SCOUT GROUP

MILLENIUM TABLE TENNIS CLUB

The Millennium Table Tennis Club was
formed due to the initial efforts of three local table tennis players who
decided the time was right to establish a new club in the Banbury Area.  The
club is affiliated to the Banbury & District Table Tennis Association and
currently enters 8 teams each season in the local league competition.

Our venue and HQ is at Mollington
Village Hall where we have enjoyed the support and encouragement of the whole management committee...a genuine partnership.

MOLLINGTON PARISH COUNCIL

The Parish Council is the most local form of government.
However, it has limited powers and responsibilities and thus mainly acts as an organisational body for the village through:

  • Decision making - through meetings and attending committees with other elected members, councillors decide which activities to support, where money should be spent, what services should be delivered and what policies should be implemented
    .
  • Monitoring other agencies e.g. Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council   - Councillors try make sure that their decisions lead to efficient and effective services by keeping an eye on how well things are working.

Mollington Parish Council presently has 5 elected councillors (one the chairman who is elected each year by the Council) and a paid Parish Clerk.  He is also the Financial Officer for the Council.
